What makes the TM31 special
Button panel and digital display
You choose time, temperature and functions with the buttons and speed with the dial; the display shows the weight and the time remaining.
Reverse rotation for delicate foods
With the reverse button the blades turn the other way and stir without chopping: useful for ingredients that must stay whole.
Dough mode
With the ear-of-wheat button the blades alternate between the two directions, for bread and pizza dough.
Steam with the Varoma
The Varoma sits on the lid of the mixing bowl and you steam up to 120 °C while you prepare the rest below.
Built-in scale
You weigh in the mixing bowl up to 2 kg at a time: in 5 g steps up to 100 g, then in 10 g steps.
Gentle stirring
Besides speeds from 100 to 10,200 rpm and the Turbo, gentle stirring at 40 rpm mixes without chopping.

What comes with the refurbished TM31?
Along with the refurbished Thermomix TM31 you get a compatible spatula, measuring cup and butterfly whisk.
How often should the lid seal be replaced?
Vorwerk recommends checking it often and replacing it as soon as it is worn, at the latest every 2 years. You'll find the compatible seal for the TM31.
Does the TM31 mixing bowl fit the TM5?
No: the TM31 mixing bowl holds 2 litres, the TM5 one 2.2, and the blades and seals are different too. Accessories such as the Varoma lid and the spatula are shared, as stated in each product name.
What is the reverse button for?
